Spotlight on: Jenny Gill - Cool Country host

Cool Country, formerly known as Teen Country, is a weekly syndicated radio show hosted by Jenny Gill. We recently had the opportunity to ask her a couple questions about the show to get her intake on the whole process.
- How did you come about working with the program, Cool Country?
The producer of Cool Country, Steve Graham, sent a fax to my dad's house, and Amy happened to come across it. So I gave Steve a call, and we ended up in the studio taping a demo of the show, and everybody liked it. It was very unexpected that I would get a job in radio, but I'm having a blast!
- Has the program showed you any insights of the different careers in the music business that you would like to do in the future?
Not really. Interviewing artists makes me want to be an artist more and more everytime we record a show! One thing that I am more interested in because of these interviews is songwriting. I can't wait to write that one hit song with someone that will put me on the musical map so to speak!
-What have you gained the most by doing this show?
Well, my savings account has definitely grown - hahaha. No, seriously. I have made some great friends, and I'm getting better at speaking. Enunciating and not saying uummm all the time.
-After you graduate from MTSU, do you plan to do anything else in the music business along with Cool Country?
Well, if I graduate, I have no idea what will happen next, because I have awhile left in school. I do not know how long Cool Country will last, but I'm along for the ride. The one thing that is important to me is the public taking me seriously as an artist after being known as a radio personality. So who knows what the future will bring!
