Melt by Rascal Flatts is definitely a cd worth purchasing. Their first single "These Days" hit #1 at the Billboard charts, & the R&R charts. Their current single, "Love You Out Loud" is also doing well on the charts. Gary, Jay, & Joe Don also got to do some writing on this album. Joe Don Rooney, who wrote "Like I Am" states, "This is a very special song for me, since I wrote it after a conversation with my girlfriend Kassidy." Gary LeVox who wrote "I Melt" mentions that this song was enjoyable for him to write. Jay DeMarcus, who is a fan of up-tempo tunes wrote "Too Good Is True." They also wrote a song together entitled "Shine On." Joe Don continues, "When we won the ACM award, the 7th to
12th graders in my hometown, Picher, Oklahoma, made a huge banner and posed in the gymnasium with it. It said, "Shine On, Joe Don." This album has so much potential. From Gary's unique sounding voice, to their guitar playing, this cd is a must! Favorites on the album are ballads "Melt," and "My Worst Fear." Along with "Melt" and "My Worst Fear," other favorites include "Mayberry" and "These Days." -- Janelle Landauer
