September 20, 2005 - NASHVILLE, TN - Award nominations keep rolling in for the trio Sugarland. Nominees for the 33rd annual "American Music Awards" were announced today in Los Angeles and Sugarland received a nomination for Breakthrough Artist. This category is for Favorite New Artist (All Genres). The Killers and Jessie McCartney are the other artists in the category. The AMA's will take place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Tuesday, November 22, and will air on ABC, 8-11 PM (Eastern and Pacific Time).
Just two weeks ago Jennifer Nettles, Kristen Hall and Kristian Bush were overwhelmed to find out that Sugarland was nominated for 3 CMA awards in the Horizon, Vocal Group of the Year and Single of the Year categories.
Sugarland has become known for their high energy live performances. You can currently see them perform with Bon Jovi on CMT Crossroads and on September 22, Sugarland is a guest on Soundstage which airs at 10:00pm EST on PBS (check your local listings.) Additionally, on Friday, September 23, Sugarland will be in Portland, OR for the first date of CMT's Time Well Wasted tour with Brad Paisley and Sara Evans. |
