Sugarland's eventful week in the Big Apple and the Windy City

(Nashville, TN)  Last week was a series of eventful days for Sugarland.  While at rehearsal for the taping of the CMT series Crossroads, Jennifer Nettles, Kristen Hall and Kristian Bush received Platinum plaques from Luke Lewis, Co-Chairman of Universal Music Group Nashville, signifying sales of 1,000,000 units of their debut album Twice The Speed Of Life.

The singer/songwriter trio from Atlanta, GA performed with Bon Jovi at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City for CMT Crossroads, which will premiere on September 16 at 10:00pm EST. The high-energy performances by both bands had the fan-filled audience begging for more. When the call came to Jennifer Nettles regarding singing with Bon Jovi, her response was "Bon Jovi songs are part of the soundtrack of my life - big hair, boyfriends and screaming along to 'Living on a Prayer.' To have an opportunity to do CMT Crossroads with them is unbelievable.  Now pass the curling iron, Aqua Net, pegged jeans and Keds tennis shoes!"

Rounding out Sugarland's big week, they traveled to Chicago where, as their hit single "Baby Girl" references, they finally got to "stay at The Ritz," compliments of the PBS television show Soundstage. Sugarland and Billy Currington were Trisha Yearwood's special guests on the show, which will air on September 22 at 10:00pm EST (check local listings).
