Mercury trio Sugarland to perform on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno March 28, 2005 Sugarland is confirmed to appear on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Wednesday, March 30th. The Atlanta-based trio, made up of singer/songwriters Jennifer Nettles, Kristen Hall and Kristian Bush, will perform their new single, "Something More." Sugarland's activities in Los Angeles this week will also include shooting the music video for "Something More." The first time the trio sat down to write together, they wrote "Baby Girl," which is currently #2 on Billboard's Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart. "Baby Girl" is also the highest charting debut single by a country music group in 14 years. The success of their first hit at radio and through video airplay has translated into album sales. Sugarland is one of only two new acts in the Top 25 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart with just one single released.
